Man arrested for selling son in Nasarawa

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), Nasarawa state command Thursday, arrested a 42-year-old man Ayuba John, for trying to sell his biological son.

The state commandant Mahmoud Fari revealed this to newsmen in Lafia.

Fari explained that John was arrested in Lafia, while allegedly attempting to sell his three-year-old son Solomon Ayuba for the sum of five million to a buyer who informed the security.

The commandant explained further that Mr John, a father of 23 children, also allegedly sold his 14-year-old daughter Hajara Ayuba for ritual in Oweri Imo state, an allegation that the command is still investigating.

“Presently we are working with our men over there to see the possibility of arresting the remaining criminals involved

” Ayuba John has five wives but he divorced Solomon’s mother. he has 23 children, 13 boys 10 girls

Meanwhile, the command also arrested one Garba Wamba, 45 for allegedly defiling a 10-year-old girl.

The commandant said the suspect confessed to the crime.

He said that the suspects will be taking to court to face the consequences of their actions.
