Man conceals marijuana in biscuit cartons

The Seme Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service have arrested one Sani Abdullahi with substances suspected to be Marijuana, concealed in cartons of biscuits.

The Area Comptroller, Mr. Willy Egbudin, said that the 46-year-old suspect who was a passenger in a Volvo car, was apprehended at the Seme/Gbaji area along the Badagry-Seme Expressway, with the drug hidden in his bag.

According to Egbudin, “The car was stopped at our checkpoint at Ggaji and on searching it, four ‘blocks’ of marijuana, popularly known as Indian hemp were discovered.

“The wraps of marijuana were concealed in cartons of biscuits and they were inside the bag of the suspect. We were able to make the arrest, due to intelligence report and the determination of the officers of the command.”
He said that the suspect had been handed over to officials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) at Seme Border.
