Th e bizarrely romantic scene was captured on camera as the man went in to see his nurse lover at work and asked her to help change the dressing. Th e man had persuaded a surgeon to hide the gold ring inside his body and then asked his girlfriend for help. A friend with a smartphone then fi lmed what happened next at a clinic in south-western Russia’s Karachay-Cherkess Republic.
