A young man identified as Morufu was on Tueaday nabbed in Ibadan while withdrawing money from a bank’s Automated Teller Machine (ATM) beside the Radio Nigeria head office in Dugbe .
Our Correspondent learnt that Morufu is presently in police net at Iyaganku Central Police station.
It was gathered that Morufu arrived the ATM point in one of the new generation bank located few meters from the Radio Nigeria station withdrawing money for several minutes.
A woman said to be waiting for the man to end his transactions at the ATM suddenly became suspicious of the man’s transaction and alerted the security guards in the nearby area
At this juncture, the man said to be dressed in a very dirty clothes while withdrawing the huge amount of money from the ATM which further raised suspicions about his mission at the place.
Upon his arrest with the huge amount of money, Morufu was said to have confessed that the incident was not the first time he would be withdrawing money at ATM point without using card, saying he has a code he always input on the ATM to dispense without a card.
Contacted, the Oyo state Police Public Relations Officer, (PPRO,) SP Lawrence Fadeyi said he was yet to be informed of the incident
