A 20-years-old man, Lawali Danladi has reportedly killed his wife Zulai over pap argument.
The wife killer is said to have carried out the evil act on 26th March 2021 at about 9am in the morning.
Blueprint learnt that Danladi beat Zulai till she became unconscious and that she was rushed to hospital by concerned neighbours where she was confirmed dead by doctor.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Niger state police command, DSP Wasiu Abiodun confirmed the incident in Minna.
He said, “On 26/03/2021 at about 0900hrs, based on credible information, Police Operatives attached to Kagara Division arrested one Lawali Danladi age 20yrs ‘m’ of Kadaura village via Yakila Gunna district of Rafi LGA”.
He said that the suspect was arrested for allegedly killing his wife, one Zulai Lawal ‘f’ of same address over a misunderstanding in which he beat the victim to coma and as a result, she died on the spot.
According to the PPRO, “During interrogation, the suspect confessed to have beaten the victim due to a mere pap argument and fell unconscious”.
He said that the victim was rushed to General Hospital Wushishi where she was confirmed dead
He said investigation has commenced and suspect will be charged to court as soon as investigation is completed
