Mark mourns Ondo speaker’s demise

President of the Senate, Senator David Mark, has sent a message of condolence to the government and people of Ondo State over the death of the Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Samuel Adesina.

Mark in a condolence message to Governor Segun Mimiko and members of the House of Assembly described Adesina’s death as “a painful loss” not only to the people of Ondo state, but to the nation, particularly the legislature.

He noted the robust contributions of Adesina to the development of the legislature and lamented that the late speaker had created a vacuum that would be hard to fill.
Mark said Adesina departed when his wealth of legislative experience would have been needed to unravel some of the critical legislative issues in nation’s body of laws.

He, however, urged the people of Ondo state, especially the bereaved family, to take solace in the fact that the late Adesina lived a short but accomplished life worthy of emulation.
“The only way to imortalise him, is to uphold his legacies of hard work, forthrightness and unshakable belief in the indivisibility of Nigeria,” he said.
