Governor Aminu Bello Masari of the Katsina state has on Thursday signed into law the 2020 fiscal budget of N244.807,357,900
The governor, thanked the state Assembly for the speedy deliberation and approval of the budget, urging them to always engage doing oversight functions and make correction where necessary for the benefit and interest of the state.
According to him, the 2020 fiscal year tagged “budget of reflection and progress” would focus on the completion of projects in restoring agenda and policy of the led APC administration in the state.
Governor Masari, added that his administration would hence forth operate a open governance where member of public will be fully involve in the implementation of the budget, adding that a town hold meeting would held for the people to make their inputs.
“The department of special duties and department of budget and planning to reach out to the general public maybe through a town hold meeting to make people understand the purpose and meaning of budget so that they can actually participate”, he reiterated
It could be recalled that Governor Masari had on 20th of November, 2019 tabled a proposed budget of N249.5 billion to the house of Assembly, but the house after deliberation had approved N244.807,357,900 for signing.
