Massive turnout as PDP conducts ward congresses in Kebbi

There was massive turnout of People Democratic party (PDP) loyalists on Saturday as the party conducted ward congresses to elect officials that would run it affairs at the grassroots level.
The exercise, which commenced on the early hours of Saturday a cross the
225 wards in the state, went on peacefully as most positions were contested unopposed.
Secretary of the State Caretaker Committee, Malam Yusuf Dingyadi, who was delighted with the exercise, said all the positions were keenly contested and added that the party would bear its opponents in the 2019 general elections.
“I am highly impressed with the turnout of members that came out to vote candidates of their choice in all the local governments I visited, especially the women in puddah were seen in their multitudes during the exercise”
Further, he disclosed that a total number of 2965 members aspired for the various posts at wards, local government and state levels. “This is a clear indication of the party’s strength and the love the people has for the PDP and the state,” he declared
He called on party loyalist to maintain the tempo and works assiduously towards the success of the party comes 2019 general elections.
