Matawalle, Garba Shehu, others for excellence award

 

Zamfara state governor, Alhaji Bello Matawalle is among those nominated for awards of excellence as Kwararafa Reporters holds its third anniversary in Abuja. Others include the senior special adviser to the president on media and publicity, Garba Shehu and Senator Emmanuel Bwacha.

According to information made available to Blueprint in Abuja, December 8 has been fixed for the event.

Governor Matawalle’s giant stride in the security sector secured him the award.

Other awardees the minister of power, deputy minority leader of the 9th Senate, Senator Emmanuel Bwacha for his effort in delivering dividends of democracy at the grassroots level.

Meanwhile, one of the nominees, Senator Dino Melaye has confirmed his attendance. Also confirming his attendance is Chief David Sabo Kente.

Editor of the paper, Abel Augustine, told newsmen that he was excited about the occasion, saying: “Our nominees were not just picked for show. They are worthy Nigerians who have distinguished themselves as you can see. I’m sure we would have a great event.”
