Mbula’s demise: We’ve lost a proud monarch – Gov Fintiri

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa state has expressed shock over the demise of a first class traditional ruler, the Murum Mbula Jorem Joel Fwa, who passed on at the age of 81.

The governor condoled with the Mbula traditional council, the royal family, Mbula kingdom and the entire people of the state over the irreplaceable loss.

In a press statement made available to journalists in Yola and signed by his press secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou, the governor described the deceased as a proud monarch who dedicated his life to the service of God and humanity. He added that his knowledge and wise counseling would be greatly missed not only by his administration but the entire people of the state and Nigeria as a whole.

“It was with great sadness that I received a word on Sunday from the Mbula traditional council that his Royal Highness, Murum Mbula JJ Fwa has died. Indeed, we have lost not just a much loved and highly respected public figure but a devoted Adamawa son and a proud monarch whose extra ordinary life and work cannot easily be forgotten.”

The governor urged the people of Mbula kingdom, the royal family and the entire people of Adamawa state to take solace in God and bear the irreplaceable loss.

He commended the services of the late monarch in the civil service and traditional institution.

Governor Fintiri said the late Murum Mbula has left an indelible mark as a determined, courageous and hard-working patriot who took the Mbula traditional council to indisputable institution for peace and unity of the Numan federation and Adamawa state as a whole. He added that the state will forever remain grateful to him.
