While you may suppose female DJs would be some hard-looking females behind the deck as many of their male counterparts, these new collection of ladies who make a living from entertaining with music on the wheel of steel are anything but rugged. However, her maverick approach to DJing alone would force you to accept that the art of DJing, for her, is as serious as oil business. A graduate of Business and Economics from Kings College London, Cuppy recently bagged a Master’s degree in Music Business from the New York University,USA.

River state born Frances Higgwe aka DJ Frizzie is the official DJ for Nigerian Dancehall singer, Mr. 2kay. A graduate of Environmental Engineering from the University of Port Harcourt. She also has a Masters in Water & Environmental Management in the UK. DJ Frizzie is half-sister to “Cure My Craze” crooner Frank D’Nero.

6. DJ Soupamodel
She was in the month of June selected as governor of The Grammys Recording Academy, Washington DC chapter, Aderonke Ariyo aka DJ Soupamodel is Nigerian-American DJ who also doubles as the official DJ for US singer, T-pain. Being so good at what she does, coupled with her association with T-Pain has afforded her the opportunity to work with International acts like Wyclef, Jason Derulo, Mims, Soulja Boy, Nappyboy to list a few. 10. DJ Nana
Her real name is Nanayat Abedoh. DJ Nana was the winner of the “Airtel/Barcaddi Cool FM” DJ Competition where she battled it out with many of her male counterparts, and then went on to train under Nigerian legendary Disc Jockey, Jimmy Jatt Inc with DJ Jimmy Jatt.
