Metres now available for purchase under MAP scheme – Kaduna Electric 

Management of Kaduna Electric has said customers needing a metre can purchase one through the ongoing Meter Asset Provider Scheme (MAP). 

It also said Phase Zero of the National Mass Metering Programme (NMMP) under which free metres were provided by the federal government has been concluded. Consequently, free metres are no longer available. 

A statement issued by the company’s Head of Corporate Communication, Abdulazeez Abdullahi, said customers can now purchase a metre under the Meter Asset Provider (MAP) scheme. 

According to the statement, customers should note that the cost of the metre purchased under the MAP scheme shall be amortised and customers will be refunded with energy credits over a three-year period.

It further said the revised cost of the metres under the MAP scheme is N63,061.32 for a Single Phase Metre while a Three Phase Metre costs N117,910.69.

The company said it is working closely with its approved MAPs to sensitise customers on the scheme and assured that customers who opt for the scheme a guaranteed a meter within 24 hours.
