Mikel insists on Chelsea stay

Mikel-insists-on-Chelsea-stNigerian international, Mikel Obi, has insisted he wishes to see through his contract at EPL side Chelsea even though he played only a bit role for the London club last season.
Chelsea have since signed midfielder, Cesc Fabregas, for £30m and despite the reported interest from Inter Milan, Valencia and Galatasaray, Mikel said he was not under any threats, he was happy in London and wants to stay.

27-year-old midfield anchorman, who is currently on international duty with Nigeria, is set to begin his ninth season with “The Blues” and having played alongside Frank Lampard, Ramires and Nemanja Matic last season, Mikel is looking forward to welcoming a new midfield partner, according to Daily Mail.
“I don’t have a problem with the signing of Cesc Fabregas. We have played against each other a lot of times. We don’t play in the same position anyway.

“Chelsea is my home away from home, my second home. You never know what’s going to happen in football, but I’m very happy at Chelsea and I want to remain at Chelsea,” he said.
The Nigerian midfielder has had a lot of silverware success to celebrate in eight years at Stamford Bridge and hope to see off his contract.
“I still have three years left on my contract and want to stay there. I want to congratulate Cesc with his transfer and I’m looking forward to playing with him,” he enthused.
Chelsea begin their pre-season preparations on July 9 although Mikel is likely to be granted extended leave after his international assignment in Brazil.
