Minister extols aide’s commitment to women issues

The Minister of Women Affairs, Dame Pauline Tallen, has lauded her Special Technical Assistant Princess Jumai Idonije, on commitment to issues affecting women in Nigeria.

In a statement by the Director Press and Public Relations Olujimi Oyetomi, on Monday in Abuja during her birthday anniversary celebration, Tallen described Idonije as a staff with difference.

The statement noted her attributes with attention to details as well as her commitment to issues of women and children.

“Princess Jummai Idonije always looks out for details and the best interest of her principal at such events like the National Council of Women Affairs (NCWA), Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) and such other advocacy engagements of the Minister, as she intervenes on issues of women, children and vulnerable persons in Nigeria.

“Idonije has a knack for interracting meaningful and engaging with Commissioners of Women and Gender Affairs of the States of the Federation such that many of the Commissioners and their Permanent Secretaries engage with the Minister through Jummai when they seek personal touch of the Minister on any issues or topic,” the statement reads.

A low key celebration was carried out as a good number of Staff of the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs and other personal aides of the Minister  keyed into the birthday celebration of Princess Jummai Idonije.
