The Minister of Youth & Sports Barrister Solomon Dalung, has lauded the promotion and enhancement of peace in Plateau state particularly in Jos township; saying the return of active night life to Jos is a feat that deserves commendation and sustainability.
Barr. Dalung made the remark in his address at a grand entertainment event tagged “Back to Root Concert”designed to hunt for talents in the entertainment industry which climaxed series of activities marking the 2016 Jos Trade Fair.
He recalled with nostalgia the different features of entertainment which earned Jos the nickname “center of hospitality and music” and hoped that with the youth firmly resolved to prevent anything that will disrupt the new found peace, trade, commerce and fun life that are gradually bouncing back to Jos and spreading to other parts of the state.

He urged them to be advocates of peace and religious co-existence, while also commanding the organizers he said posterity will score them high when the history of a new Plateau state devoid of malice, religious bigotry and intolerance is being written and attention paid to the worthy contributions of the youth.
The minister further attributed the success in bringing peace back to the Plateau to President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration whom he said takes issue of security as the corner stone of his developmental agenda.
He therefore enjoined the youth to continue to believe and support the government, urging them to be focused on sports and talents development.
According to him, fame, honour and high income is today easily attainable by youth; reminding them that the highest paid person in the world at this moment is is a sportsman plying his trade in football.
It would be recalled that over a hundred thousand youths  displayed their various talents and artistic skills from different categories of performance such  as dancers, rappers, fighters, acrobats amongst others.
