Mix feelings as FEC holds valedictory session Wednesday

The Federal Executive Council (FEC) would on Wednesday, May 22, 2019, hold its valedictory session ahead of the inauguration of President Muhammadu Buhari for a second term on May 29.

Ministers and council members are expected to speak at the event as first term of Buhari administration ends in the next couple of days with some of them also expected to reflect on their actions in over three years of being part of the current administration.

Blueprint learnt that only a negligible number of the ministers would make the president’s second term cabinet.

The council had an extra-ordinary session on Monday where a couple projects across some sectors were approved including new import levy of 0.2 percent in order to help the country sustain its subscription with the international organisations like the World Bank and African Union (AU) among others.

The council also approved N3.8 billion for the execution of various projects in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
