Miyetti Allah condemns killing of Fulani in Taraba

Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, a Fulani socio-cultural association, has condemned what it described as “the spate of killings of Fulani pastoralists in Taraba state by suspected Mambilla militia in Sardauna local government area of the state.
In a released signed by the National President of the association, Alhaji Bello Abdullahi Bodejo in Abuja yesterday, he appealed to the federal government to intervene and save the pastoralists from further attacks.
According to him, it is time for government to be proactive in surveillance and intelligence gathering in Sardauna area and other parts of the state in order to forestall further crisis.
“Miyetti Allah Kautal Hoore is seriously worried about the recent killing of over 20 Fulani and stealing of over 300 of their cows on the Mambilla plateau. It is time for government to do something about the incessant attacks. The situation is very alarming and pathetic,” Bodejo stressed.
The Miyetti Allah leader called on Fulani pastoralists living in Taraba and across the country to remain calm and continue to embrace peace, adding that they should not put laws into their hands.
Bodejo sympathised with the families of those who lost their lives and properties, saying Allah would give them Aljannatul firdausi.
