Mobil leads gainers as market appreciates by N5bn

Mobil Plc led  gainers table at the Nigerian Stock Exchange during the day, growing by N9.00 to close at N186.00, Guinness Nigeria Plc followed with a gain of N1.40 kobo to close at N50.00, Nigerian Breweries gained N0.75 kobo to close at N65.75 kobo, Cement Company of Northern Nigeria appreciated by N0.60 kobo to close at N14.60 kobo, Dangote Sugar Refinery Nigeria PLC increased by N0.15 kobo to close at N14.05 kobo.

Presco Plc on the cobtrary recorded the highest loss, dropping by N4.75 kobo to close at N58.00, Total Nigeria Plc trailed with a loss of N2.10 kobo to close at N164.00, Conoil Plc down by N0.70 kobo to close at N20.10 kobo, Forte Oil fell by N0.35 kobo to close at N34.75 kobo, Wapco declined by N0.25 kobo to close at N11.20 kobo

The NSE trading result showed that Market Capitalisation of listed equities increased by N5 billion to N10.963 trillion from N 10.958 trillion traded the previous day.

The NSE All Share Index also grew by 11.99 basis points  to 29171.73 points from 29159.74 points reported the previous day.

Investors traded 279.618 million shares valued at N2.824 billion in 4836 deals against 543.924 million shares valued at N8.199 billion in 4682 deals

The result further showed that Transnational Corporation of Nigeria was the active stock during the day, exchanging 34.908 million shares worth N42.514 million, Dangote Flour Nigeria Plc followed with account of 23.636 million shares valued at N450.075 million, Chams Plc sold 20.731 million shares cost N10.705 million, Access Bank traded 19.668 million shares worth N135.577 million while Japaul Oil sold 17.065 million shares cost N6.114 million.
