The Oloja of Epe, Oba Kamaru Isola Animasahun, APC leaders, other stakeholders in Epe constituency I have endorsed Honourable Abiodun Tobun third term bid for a seat in the Lagos State House of Assembly.
The monarch and APC chieftain, Chief Akanni Seriki Bamu, and other constituents gave the nod yesterday during the simultaneous Town Hall meeting across the forty constituencies in Lagos, which took place at Epe Local Government Secretariat in Epe Constituency I.
Endorsing the lawmaker, they expressed their wiliness to have him represent the constituency for the third term in order to bring more development to Epe I.
Also, a member of House of Representatives, Hon. Wale Raji, representing Epe constituency commended Tobun for supporting indigent students by purchasing and distributing GCE forms for the over 150 students.
The Iyaloja General of Epe Land,Alhaja Mulikat Onibon lamented the rate of Youth unemployment in Epe and urged the honourable other leaders to do something about it, so that the devil will not take advantage of their idleness to engage them in criminal activities.
Hon Fariu Arebi , a former member of Lagos State House of Assembly, however lamented the inadequate infrastructure and particularly mentioned congestion of classrooms in most schools in Epe.
Another constituent, Alhaji Bishi Babatunde, pleaded for the construction of the Ise and Ipomu road but lauded the state government’s effort on security and ensuring kidnapping no longer persists in Epe.
Alhaja Bola Lawal from Ward C I also appealed to the lawmaker to take up the Eleran Igbe road that connects 30 villages to the Town and which serves as an alternative route to Lekki Epe Expressway with the government stressing that if constructed it would ease people’s transportation burden.
Aare Oriba, Adesegun Hassan urged the lawmaker to keep the development of Oriba in mind and complained their king was yet to be given the Staff of Office.
In response to the issues raised by the constituents, Hon. Tobun assured that issues relating to primary schools would be handled by the council chairman, Hon Adedoyin who has also promised an empowerment programme for over 100 people.
“They have started working on those things and we have already compiled and forwarded our list of needs to SUBEB, which also has consented and started work on some of the items,” he said.
He said efforts are on to repair some of the roads mentioned by the constituents.
