Monimichelle tinkers partnership with NFF

Sports Facility expert and Chief Executive officer of  Monimichelle Group, Ebi Ezekiel Egbe is considering signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Nigeria Football Federation for the sole purpose of developing and upgrading pitches across the country

Egbe disclosed this in Abuja after meeting with the NFF president Ibrahim Gusau that “we need to get our infrastructure right to be able to compete with the rest of the world’

Egbe told Blueprint Sport that he came to show solidarity with Gusau and to discuss ways of getting it right in terms of equipment and facilities Nigeria lacks.

“NFF president is my brother, it’s a solidarity meeting to let him know that am behind him, We’re ready to partner with the NFF to make sure Nigeria gets it right in terms of facility that we lack as a country with the possibility of signing an MoU.

“You can’t tell anything is possible you know, if we can do it with other countries, why not, we’ve made our mark in Nigeria we’re top in the industry when it comes to facilities, so why not, we’ll go ahead to give support to our federation,” he said.

Egbe otherwise known as Monichelle boasted about his antecedent in the country.

According to him, he had “fixed’ over 10 stadia in the country to international standard with most Nigeria Professional Football League side using his facility.

The recent being that of Remo Stadium in Ikenne which CAF approved for continental use.

He mentioned other stadia like the Karkanda Stadium in Katsina, Jos Township Stadium and several others as part of his handiwork.

“If you want to drive a rolls Royce, you’ve got to pay a rolls Royce price. I’m the rolls Royce of this industry, I’m not Volkswagen or Toyota,” he said.

The former FIFA football agent also thumbs up IMC’s initiative to use only TV friendly pitches ahead of the incoming NPFL season, saying it’s the best way to attract bigger sponsors to the league, even as he hinted that it might be his pitches that might be used for next season’s NPFL games, as they’re all TV friendly pitches.

“It’s a good thing to know the IMC is doing a great job, we need TV friendly pitches for our league so sponsors can come, and the way the IMC is going, it’s most likely Monimichelle’s pitches might be the only pitches that’ll be used for our NPFL games because they’re TV friendly,” he said.

He lauded Morocco’s feat at the Qatar World Cup as a good omen for African football and urged the NFF to emulate and strive to better the Atlas Lions record at the mundial.
