Most defectors to APC are moles—Omokri

A former Presidential Aide, Mr Reno Omokri, has described some of the latest defectors to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) as moles and cautioned the party against their antics.

Though, Omokri, who was an aide to former President Goodluck Jonathan, did not mention names, his warning came when some bigwigs of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) dumped it for the APC.

Blueprint recalls that the PDP’s camp seems depleted few weeks to the general elections following the mass defection of some of its prominent members to the APC.

In least than a week, a total of four prominent members of the party from Bauchi state led by the former National Chairman of PDP, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu, dumped the party for APC.

Other defectors are, PDP’s deputy national chairman (North), Alhaji Babayo Garba Gamawa, former secretary to the federal government, Alhaji Ahmed Yayale, and Alhaji Kaulaha Aliyu.

But Omokri in a tweet on his twitter handle @renoomokri, cautioned the leadership of APC against rejoicing over the new entrants into its fold, rather, he said, they are in the party to expose their secrets.

He gave a tip, which suggested how he obtained an audio recording alleging that the Minister of Transportation, Mr Rotimi Amaechi, was cynical of the APC- led federal government.

Omokri said: “All these defections @OfficialAPCNg is announcing shows their vacuousness. Have they heard of the word ‘mole’? How do they think I got the #AmaechiTapes? Anyway, let them just keep accepting fifth columnists and revealing their secrets to them. Those ones may or may not tell me’’.
