Motorists groan as fuel scarcity hits Abuja, Lagos; petrol tanker explodes in Gombe

Fuel scarcity has slowed down economic and social activities in Lagos and NIgeria’s capital Abuja, despite assurances from Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) that it had enough in stock.

Some of the motorists who were in various filling stations to purchase petrol were shocked to witness unprecedented queue since Friday evening.

The federal government had barely three years ago assured that fuel scarcity would be a thing of the past after petrol price was raised from N87 to N145.

Meanwhile, a fuel tanker has been on Saturday caught fire at Bomala bridge in the bye-pass axis of Gombe state.
