MRI tests: Golden Eaglets shock WAFU medical team

Efforts by the Nigeria Football Federation to ensure that very young Nigerian footballers are the ones considered to feature for the Golden Eaglets received great morale booster in Lome, Togo with the MRI tests results of the players.

The WAFU medical team were shocked when they conducted the MRI tests on the Nigerian players to discover that most of the players were on grades 2 and 3 and only few are grade 4. No player on MRI grade 5, which is also considered a pass grade.

The pass grades for the MRI scan test are from grades 1- 5. The NFF in their wisdom gave a policy that players on grade 5 should not be taken to the tournament due  to the fact that the border line of grade 5 is very risky and if the test is conducted again after some weeks, some players on grade 5 may find themselves on grade 6.

This disqualifies the players and the entire team under the new rule of the U 17 qualifying tournament in Africa.
