The leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has said that the All Progressives Congress’ decision to announce Bola Tinubu as the party’s 2023 presidential candidate will bring about the collapse of the party.
The clergy also issued a warning to President Muhammadu Buhari over the impasse with the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).
Primate Ayodele warned that “students will soon stage something serious if Buhari fails to resolve the ongoing ASUU strike.”
The cleric disclosed this in a statement signed by his media aide, Oluwatosin Osho, on Sunday.
Primate Ayodele also disclosed that the ambition of Tinubu will break the party.
He disclosed that more people will decamp from the party to support other candidates.
Primate Ayodele described the announcement of Tinubu’s candidacy as the beginning of APC’s death.
‘’Tinubu’s ambition will divide the party, more people will decamp from the party and many things will be exposed about APC.
“There will be wrangling between the party stakeholders. The announcement of Tinubu as the candidate marked the death of the party, they can’t come together again,” he said.
