My govt will revive economy, create jobs, guarantee security – Atiku

Presidential candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP),  Atiku Abubakar has promised to revive Nigeria’s economy,  create jobs and ensure security of lives and properties of Nigerians, if elected as Nigerian president come next month.

Addressing a crowd of supporters during the PDP presidential campaign rally on Thursday at Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna, Atiku, who claimed that the APC government lied to Nigerians in 2015, said once elected, his government will live up to its promise by working hard to create wealth among Nigerians and improve the people’s standard of living.

“APC lied on three things, they said they would improve the economy, today Nigeria is capital of poverty, they said they would bring peace, today there is no peace in North West, North East and North Central, they said they would create jobs today there is no job. Why should we vote them? Our government will boost the economy, create jobs and ensure security.  On the polling day, when you come to vote, vote for PDPfrom up to down. Nigeria must go, SPC must go.”

PDP National Chairman, Uche Secondus warned the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) against rigging the 2019 general elections using the Internally Displaced Persons (IDP). He said APC and President Muhammadu Buhari have lied to Nigerians for three and half years and Nigerians are tired of insecurity and hunger, which all they have delivered. He said President Buhari is weak and tired and should go and rest.

“Never again will anybody rig election in Nigeria, INEC should be warned. You cannot rig this election especially from IDP, all your games we know. The most important thing is for you to make a choice, you don’t want President Buhari and APC to come back because they have been sleeping on duty that is why we have insecurity and hunger. Let us ask President Buhari to go home, Baba has tried and is weak, that is why he handed our government over to a cabal, we want somebody with lots of energy,” Secondus added.

The Director General of the PDP presidential campaign council,  Sen. Bukola Saraki said Nigerians are dying of hunger with Nigeria designated as the poverty capital of the world. “APC promised us jobs, security and food, but In the whole of Nigeria there is no security, no food, no jobs and there is hunger. If you want food, jobs, security vote Atiku, vote for PDP from top to bottom. Let’s vote for better Nigeria, let’s vote for Nigeria that can work.”

Former interim national chairman of PDP, Sen. Ahmed Makarfi said the crowd has confirmed that Kaduna is a PDP state. “We in PDP we don’t abuse, whatever road, water supply, big educational institutions, secondary school,  health facilities you see in Kaduna state was built by PDP.

“During PDP we have peace in Kaduna, people were doing their farming in peace and we’re making profit. If you vote PDP again, you will get these things back. Vote for PDP from top to bottom, presidential, governorship, National Assembly and state house of assemblies,” the ex-Kaduna  state governor said.

Former Vice President, Arch. Namadi Sambo in his remarks urged all the party supporters to ensure that they have their PVCs ready to enable them vote for candidates of their choice, while promising that, “Atiku will atikulate you”.

PDP gubernatorial candidate in Kaduna state,  Hon. Isah Ashiru urged all the part supporters to keep their PVC handy, noting that, “some people are going round saying they have won election but we are waiting for the polling day. We should make sure that we vote, wait for our votes to be counted and defend our votes”.

Those present at the campaign rally include,  ex-Governors Mukthar Yero of Kaduna, Liyel Imoke of Cross Rivers and Boni Haruna of Adamawa states. Chairman PDP board of trustees, Sen. Walid Jibrin, Sen. Datti Ahmed and PDP candidates in Kaduna state.
