My husband’s birthday, divine timing – Gov’s wife

Wife of Bayelsa state governor, Mrs Gloria Diri has described the 61st birthday of her husband Senator Douye Diri as the divine timing of God, coming in the first year of his miraculous emergence to serve the state.

Mrs. Diri stated this at the special praise service in honour of governor’s 61st birthday at the King of Glory Chapel, government house, Yenagoa.
The governor’s wife described governor Diri as a man blessed with great abilities to perform great exploits, even in the midst of his busy schedule, stating that his strength is always renewed by God’s grace to achieve his targets.
She also took a moment to pray for her husband, calling on God to endow him with wisdom and understanding, as well as the strength and determination to enable him to explore new grounds in sound health and mind.
Her words, “Not by his power, not by his might, this is a man that never takes tablets, everyday and every night he works hard and I want to say that his strength will continue to be renewed like the Eagle.
“As he comes back home, it is with great grace, he comes back with great ability that God has deposited in him, he comes back with great ability to do exploits in Bayelsa state.
Earlier in his sermon, Bishop Ebi Belepeigha, said God is still in the business of doing miracles in the lives of those who trust in Him, which according to him was evident in the success story of the state governor, Senator Douye Diri.
Taking his Bible text from the book of  Daniel 11:1, Bishop Belepeigha explained that the miraculous emergence of Diri as governor of the state was a proof that God is with him and will surely perfect that which he has started in his life and the state in general.
The clergy affirmed that as the years of the governor increases, so shall the power of the Lord increase stronger in the affairs of the governor, being the leader of the state.
Highpoint of the special birthday celebration was the cutting of the 61st birthday anniversary cake by the wife of the governor and her children, alongside the Speaker, Bayelsa state House of Assembly, Mr Abraham Ingobere, who was represented by the Leader of the House, Mr. Monday Bobou-Obolo.
The only bible lesson from Psalms 103:1-5, was read by Mrs. Gloria Diri.
