Nasarawa state Governor Abdullahi Alhaji Sule at the weekend said the appointment of the secretary to the state government was based on competence, loyalty, and experience.
The governor stated this at a reception in honour of the SSG, Aliyu Ahmed Tijjani, organised by his friends and well wishers in Nasarawa local government of Nasarawa state.
He equally urged citizens in the state to dispel rumours that he had taken directive from the former governor and senator Umaru Al-Makura, over the appointment, nothing that with his experience in different sectors, he knows who is competent and who is not in handling a particular job.
Sule said his policies were focused on employment generation and improving the living conditions of the people of the state.
The governor, however, solicited the support of his administration from citizens of the state in order to take the state to higher level of development.
Senator Umaru Almakura and Ahmed Tijjani (SSG) received awards of excellence during the reception.
