A mysterious fire has reportedly burnt two toddlers whose parents left in two mobile sheds used as shop and apartment at Ugwuagba-Obosi, Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State.
SP Haruna Mohammed, the State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, who disclosed this in a press release said the fire started around 2:15 pm in two short containers along High Tension School Road, Ugwuagba-Obosi when one Blessing Nwafor, the owner of the burnt sheds was not around.
According to him, Nwafor’s children, Chiemerie, 5 years old; Onyedika, 4 years old and Esther, 3 years old “were burnt beyond recognition,” before the arrival of CSP Tony Adeyi, the Dividional Police Officer in charge of Awada Division, who rushed to cordoned off the scene on getting hint of the incident.
He said the remains of the three children were moved to Bex Hospital Mortuary for autopsy, while investigation to ascertain the cause of the fire incident continues.
