N1bn ultra-modern market for Kuje

The Kuje area council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has entered into partnership with BMM Limited to build an Ultra Modern Market at Kuchiyaku Layout market wing 2 in Kuje at the cost of N1 billion.
BMM’s managing director and developer of project, Mr. Bulus Musa Moro’a, told journalists that the project would be completed in six months.

Moro’a said the public would gain from the market “because, directly or indirectly, the market is going to provide jobs for 3, 000 people; the government also will generate to stimulate economic activities.”
The director added that the market would have 460 shops, 22blocks with categories A, B, C, D and other things.
He disclosed that the facilities in the market would include fire service/police post, parking lots, banking halls, external lightning, potable water, good road, network, drainage, refuse management, public convenience, market management office and 128-number cars parking in the area.

Performing the foundation-laying ceremony during the occasion, the Council chairman, Hon. Ishaku Shaban Tete, welcomed the initiative and announced the purchase/launch of the market forms with N400, 000.
He advised the public to purchase the forms for N20, 000, at the First Bank of Nigeria Plc, which he said, is financing and marketing the project.
The chairman added that the Council had facilitated the progamme to ensure the successful execution of the project, and promised to initiate other development projects within the shortest time posible.
