The National Business and Technical Examinations Board has started registration for its November/December 2018 certificate examinations.
NABTEB conducts examinations for the award of certificates in crafts and technical education in Nigeria.
Registrar of the Board, Ifeoma Isiugo-Abanihe, announced the registration formalities in a statement on Wednesday.
Mrs. Isiugo-Abanihe said the examination will hold from November 5 to December 7.
She said the biometric and online registration which commenced on July 2 will end on October 14.
“To register, candidates are advised to visit registration.nabtebnigeria.org to log in with the PIN”, she said.
The registration, which is primarily for private candidates, is for examinations leading to the award of National Business Certificate (NBC), National Technical Certificate (NTC), Advanced National Business Certificate (ANBC) and Advanced National Technical Certificate (ANTC).
According to the registrar, registration PINS for the examinations are available for purchase at “NABTEB zonal offices in Abuja, Kaduna, Yola, Osogbo, Enugu and Benin City, NABTEB Liaison Office in Abuja, Area Office in Lagos, and NABTEB state offices nationwide.” Mrs Isiugo-Abanihe urged potential candidates who are yet to register to seize the opportunity in order to embrace technical and vocational education.
“With General Education subjects integrated in the NABTEB examination structure, candidates with enough credits are qualified for admission to institutions of higher learning within and outside Nigeria,” she said.
“Candidates who pass all the required trade subjects, trade-related and general education subjects qualify as Certified Craftsmen or Master Craftsmen.
NABTEB qualified Craftsmen and Master Craftsmen with NBC/NTC and ANBC/ANTC have opportunity to be employed, selfemployed and become employers of labour,” she said.
NABTEB was established in 1992 to conduct crafts and technical examinations which until then was done by Royal Society of Arts of UK in accordance with the National Policy on Education.
