NADDC to establish industrial parks in 3 states

The National Automotive Design and Development Council, (NADDC), has said that it is working towards establishing Industrial Parks in Lagos, Kaduna and Anambra states, where vehicle parts and accessories would be produced towards boosting the sector.
The Director General of NADDC, Alhaji Aminu Jalal, made this known at the closing ceremony of three weeks training workshop on Auto Mechatronics Skills for Modern Motor Vehicle Maintenance in Abuja.
Jalal said over thirteen billion naira would be disburse to thirty three local automobile companies under its Automotive Development Fund as part of strategies to further enhance the growth of the nation’s automotive industry.

According to him, the fund was disbursed to the local automobile companies through the Bank of Industry (BOI).
He stated that the three weeks training was also part of NADDC measures in developing the country auto sector, adding that the training had enhanced the capacity of participants in modern vehicle repairs in line with international best practices.
In his message, the National President of National Association of Automobile Technicians, Comrade Ogba Alexander, commended NADDC for the training and called for more programmes that would enhance the growth of the sector.
Some of the beneficiaries of the training Friday Nweke and Olochukwu Orokie said the three weeks programme had enhanced their capacity.
