Nafada steals show at BBC governorship debate, agrees to pay N30,000 minimum wage

Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Gombe, Senator Usman Bayero Nafada, during a debate organized by British Broadcasting Corporatio (BBC) Hausa Service stole the show when he assured that workers deserve more than N30,000 as minimum wage.
The excited crowd broke the protocol against clapping of hands during the live telecast of the programme held at the multipurpose hall of FCE(T) Gombe and gave Bayero a thunderous applause when he said workers deserve more than N30,000 as minimum wage. 

He stated this after analysing the economic possibility of sustaining an average family with N30,000 and concluded that otherwise.

Another issue that endeared the PDP candidate to the crowd was his promise to take Local Government Chairmen to task on ensuring that they are domiciled in their domain to take charge of all issues in their areas, especially security.
He also vowed that he does not, and will not support the return of President Muhammadu Buhari to Aso Rock as President of Nigeria while pledging his support for former Vice President Atiku Abubakar of the PDP.

Other candidates who participated in the debate included Alhaji Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya of the APC, Barrister Abdul-Ganiy Bello of the PRP and Alhaji Modibo Wali of APGA.

The exciting debate anchored by Ibrahim Isah, which commenced from 10am and ended at 12 noon on Thursday also witnessed questions and answers from the audience to the candidates.
