NAHCON begins state familiarisation tours

Chairman National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) Alhaji Zikrullah Kunle Hassan has commenced a familiarisation and inspection tour of NAHCON’s ongoing projects across the country.

The chairman in every state visited sought the cooperation’s of the royal fathers and governors towards success of upcoming Hajj Savings Scheme programme (HSS) and establishment of the Hajj Training Institute.

He noted that part of the goals of the NAHCON board is to make Hajj fare affordable through some financial engineering, digitalise hajj operations and also cut down the number of days spent by Nigerian pilgrims in Saudi Arabia during hajj.

He noted that all these would not come easy, especially with foreign exchange dependent components of hajj fare, but NAHCON would ensure affordability of hajj for all Muslims in Nigeria through the Hajj Savings Scheme.

He said an intending pilgrim could enrol in the scheme to save for the appropriate time and hopefully raise dividends simultaneously. “This is the ultimate goal of the HSS,” he said while calling for advice and criticisms for better hajj administration in Nigeria.
