Nana condemns Nassarawa APC chairman’s assasination, calls for probe

The All Progressives Congress (APC) chairman in Bauchi state Alhaji Uba Nana has condemned the assasination of the party chairman in Nassarawa state Chief Philip Tatari Shekwor by gunmen and charged security agencies to fish out his murderers.

Philip was killed over the weekend in the state, the incident that elicited reactions from Nigerians.

Bauchi state chairman of the party Alhaji Uba Nana in a condolence message issued to journalists Tuesday gave the charge to the security agencies.

He said the assassination of Philip has further exposed the high level of insecurity when terrorists in the names of bandits, kidnappers, armed robbers, Boko Haram and political thugs kill the citizens with impunity.

While commiserating with the government, people of Nassarawa state and APC family nationwide on the loss, Nana called on the security agencies to intensify efforts in order address the myriad of security challenges in the nation.

“We also call on them to conduct thorough investigation with a view to fishing out the murderers of the late APC chairman and bringing them to justice”. He said.
