NANS begs Bauchi varsity VC to reinstate expelled students

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Tuesday urged the Vice Chancellor of Bauchi State University, Professor Auwalu Uba, to reinstate the recently expelled students of the institution.

NANS Director of Administration and Strategy, Sani Mohammed Hassan, in a statement issued in Abuja, urged the institution to revisit their decision and reinstate the students.

NANS said based on its investigations it was discovered that the students involved were guilty of all the allegations levelled against them.

The body also saluted the VC in the area of students welfare which the group said is the most important aspect of school life.

NANS also passed a vote of confidence on the VC for his exemplary leadership capacity and tremendous contributions to the development, peace, unity and progress of the institution.

“We salute the management of the instruction for their commitment and dedication towards students’ welfare,” he said

“We have hope and confidence in the management that they will temper justice with mercy as we also urge the Bauchi state Government not to relent in giving support to the institution.

“We equally commend the Bauchi state government for its milestone achievements in the educational sector and we call for more funding for the institution,” it said.
