NANS to honour Ortom’s CPS Akase

 

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) will Wednesday resent award of excellence to chief press secretary to Benue state governor, Mr. Terver Akase, in recognition of his hard work and commitment to duty. 

The national student body also stated that as part of the presentation ceremony, Mr. Akase would be inducted into NANS Hall of Fame. 

In a letter of nomination jointly signed by the chairman, NANS Award Committee, Comrade Felix Attah and Comrade Ngozi Okoli, the umbrella body of the Nigerian students said Mr. Akase was chosen for the honour  tagged ‘NANS Public Service Merit Award’ based on his outstanding style of information dissemination among other qualities. 
The letter which was made available to newsmen in Makurdi by Mr. Akase, stated that the decision for the nomination was taken during NANS extraordinary congress, which took place at the University of Abuja.

It further stated that Akase has also been found to be very efficient in the performance of his administrative duties, service to humanity and as a passionate supporter of youth.

“A six-man delegation led by the chairman of the NANS Award Committee, Comrade Attah will tomorrow confer the honour on Mr. Akase in Makurdi,” the letter stated.
