NAPS lauds Poly Rector for averting crisis during SUG polls

The National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) has commended the Rector of Federal Polytechnic, Ado Ekiti, Dr Hephzibah Oladebeye, for taking steps to avert crisis during the institution’s recent student union government (SUG) elections.
The National Association of Polytechnic Student (NAPS) Senate led by Comrade Adekambi Sunday in a statement made available to Blueprint on Tuesday in Kaduna also lauded the Rector for his efforts in developing the Federal Polytechnic despite assuming the office not long ago.

According to Adekambi, “the leadership of National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) Senate commends the Rector of the Federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti, Dr Hephzibah Oladebeye for his giant strides in the Polytechnic. We affirmed gallantry of the institution’s management when NAPS visited the institution to observe the SUG election that almost threw the institution into a state of unrest.

“NAPS commends the Rector who immediately placed on hold the electioneering process, sensing a serious fracas, upon the annulment of the election by Ado Polytechnic Electoral Commission (APECO) resulting from so many recorded irregularities where the total number of voters was far above the number of accredited voters.
“The NAPS Senate equally lauds the landmark achievement of the management led by Dr. Hephzibah Oladebeye, who is taking the medical centre of the institution to the permanent site. NAPS Senate visited the completed permanent medical centre and charged the Rector to ensure the medical centre is fully equipped with modern medical facilities.
“NAPS Senate also commends the Rector for recently recording another achievement by ensuring the accreditation of more course by NBTE. Indeed, Dr Hephzibah Oladebeye is a monumental provider of development to the entire Fedpoly Ado Ekiti.
“The leadership of NAPS hereby charge other management heads to emulate the workaholic Rector who is also an alumnus of same institution.
“NAPS pleads with the Federal Government to encourage institutions like Federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti by funding them more to enable them produce world class technicians.”
