Nasarawa: Abdullahi emerges chairman as ANAN elects new executive


The  Nasarawa state Association of National Accountants of Nigeria, ANAN, Lafia branch, Wednesday, elected new executive members to pilot its activities for the next three years.
The election took place at Dr. Isa Mustapha Agwai, Polytechnic Lafia, and attracted members of the association across the state as well as representatives from Abuja.


Abdullahi Muhammad emerged as the chairman while Hajiya Hafsat Usman Liman became vice chairman. Denis Ayele emerged as secretary and Zephamah Engom as assistant secretary. 
Others are Wunnyi Victor Adamu who became Treasurer, Salamatu Muluku Financial Secretary, Kasim Saleh Publicity Secretary, while Hajiya Safiya Muhammad and Abubakar Muhammad were elected ex-officio members.


In his acceptance speech, the new ANAN chairman, Abdullahi Muhammad, expressed delight and appreciation to members in the state for finding them worthy to serve them to serve the association.


He promised to strive vigorously and move the association forward.
He equally solicited for the support and cooperation of members in order to move the association to greater heights, just as he promised to carry everyone along.
“I would work with the executive to actualise the goals and objectives of this association,” he said.


In his remarks, the National President of the association, Prof. Muhammad Mainoma, represented by Ibrahim Hussaini Gidado, advised the new executive to carry the members along by being transparent, fair and just.
The event also featured presentation of certificates of service to the dissolved executive members as well as administration of oath of office and inauguration of the newly elected officials.
