Nasarawa assembly passes revenue harmonisation bill

Nasarawa state House of Assembly has passed a bill for a law to provide for the harmonisation and collection of all revenuesb(taxes, duties, levies, rates, fees charges) due to the state and local governments  in state.

Speaker of the House, Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, announced this after the House adopted the report of the Standing Committee on Finance and Appropriation on the bill presented by its chairman, Hon. Aliyu Dogara during plenary Thursday.

He appreciated his colleagues for  for their contributions toward the success of the bill while restating the House’s continued determination to work for the development of the state.

The speaker directed the Clerk of the House to produce a clean copy of the bill for the governor’s assent.

Earlier, Majority Leader, Hon Tanko Tunga, moved the motion for the passage of the bill into law and was seconded by the Minority Leader, Hon. Danladi Jatau.
