Youth wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria (YOWICAN), Nasarawa state chapter, has said it will vote against politicians who failed to represent the interest of the masses.
Public Relations Officer of the association, Mr. Habibu Barnabas, revealed this in a press statement made available to newsmen in Lafia, yesterday.
The statement said it regretted the abysmal performance of some Christian politicians who hide under the cover of Christianity to secure their support only to abandon them thereafter, nothing that such politicians would no longer enjoy the support of Christian youths in the state.
Also, the statement expressed satisfaction with the quality representation ofthe member representing the state’s Kokona-Keffi-Karu federal constituency at the lower chamber of the National Assembly, Hon Jonathan Gaza.
“The exemplary leadership qualities being exhibited by Hon Jonathan Gaza is a demonstration of the popular saying that where the righteous rules, the people rejoice and that is why YOWICAN will continue to identify with Hon. Gaza.
“It is in consideration of the commitment of Hon.
Gaza that YOWICAN, at its recent state executive meeting, directed LGA branch chairmen and coordinator in the western senatorial zone of the state to ensure full support to the policies and programmes of the lawmaker aimed at attracting more development to the people,” the statement said.
