Nasarawa: Coalition lauds security agencies on achievements

The Coalition for the Development of Nasarawa (CDN) has applauded the effort of security chiefs in tackling insecurity and oil theft in the country.

A statement issued in Lafia, Tuesday, by the chairman planning committee of the group, Hon. Namo Maga Akpomoshi, stated that the level of civil unrest has been reduced to the barest minimum in recent times.

He said security agents played pivotal roles in the entrenchment of good governance and peace building initiative to crack down miscreants in the society.

“The coalition would like to appreciate all the security agencies, especially Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) for their contributions to ensure peace in the country.

“We acknowledge the contribution of Commander General, NSCDC, Ahmed Audi, in descending on the perpetrators of crimes in the society, raping of minors, pipe line vandalism, cyber crime, oil theft, Yahoo, political thugs, cultism and other social ill bedeviling the society.

“Establishment of special tactical unit code-named Commandant General’s – Special Intelligence Squad (CG’s SIS) has achieved remarkable ‘results in fight against oil theft and crime generally,” he stated.
