Nasarawa commissioner assures Lafia community of quality service delivery

The Nasarawa state commissioner for Lands and survey, Hajiya Halima Jabiru, assured people of Lafia local government area that she will not abandon them and promised to provide quality service delivery to them.

She gave the assurance yesterday in her office in Lafia when the  leadership of the Lafia Posterity and Development Initiatives (LAPDI) paid her a courtesy call.

Halima who is the first female commissioner to represent Lafia local government in the history vowed to give effective representation and contribute to the growth and development of Lafia despite little time.

“Despite the fact that I contested for elections and lost, I will not abandon my people. I will continue to carry them along and offer my best to the service of the state and my people in Lafia,” she maintained.

She said that all her life, she had being struggling for an opportunity like this to serve her people.

She said: “All my life, I have always strived for excellence, Lafia will see the kind of representation they always dreamt of and I will be the bedrock of positive advancement in Lafia local government despite little time by God’s grace.”

She however advised that people should continue to live in peace with one another.

Earlier, chairman of the association, Dr Musa Dalhatu, said their association is non political, but registered for the growth and development of Lafia local government as well as create awareness on the need for people to become more cautious of their collective and peaceful co-existance in Lafia.

” Lafia Posterity and Development Initiatives also identify with its sons and daughters that have excelled in their carriers,” she said.
