Nasarawa directs MDAs to patronise locally made bricks

Nasarawa state governor Abdullahi Sule, has directed all Ministries, Departments and Agencies to patronise the locally made red bricks by the youths in the state towards enhancing socio- economic development of the state.

He gave the directive at the commissioning of compressed earth bricks making and laying project in Lafia.

Sule emphasised that any project that has to do with government ministries and agencies in the state, must patronise the locally made red bricks, in order to give the youths hope and sense of belonging in the state.

He equally appealed to co-operate individuals to similarly support the youth and women in patronising the their products, saying it would boost the economic of the state as well as eradicate poverty.

The governor explained that capacity building and youth development are critical areas for development of competitive work force that will have both the requisite skills and knowledge to drive any sector of the economy.

“246 youths would be empower under the state economic programme for small business- vocational empowerment programme aiming at building the capacity of youths across the state.
