Nasarawa Gov mulls appointing opposition in cabinet

Emerging facts indicates that Governor Abdulllahi Alhajii Sule of Nasarawa state might consider appointing members of the opposition political parties into his yet to be constituted cabinet.

Governor Sule had last week   before his journey to United States held a stakeholders meeting across party lines soliciting the support of all and sundry to move the state forward.

He assured all those that attended the gathering that his administration will operate an open door policy to accommodate all irrespective of political, tribal and religious differences.

 Sources at the meeting said that the governor urged the stakeholders to make contributions on how to move the state forward especially in the areas of education, skills acquisition job creation and security.

Sources reveal that the governor is making high level consultations on how to consider all and sundry on board especially with the assurance of members of the opposition political party to work with his government in moving the state forward.

Sources close to government said that the governor was happy with the contributions of major stakeholder and promise to engage all citizens irrespective of party affiliations.

When contacted, a PDP stalwart and   former deputy governor in the state John Mike Abdul who attended the meeting said it was timely and in the right direction that would move the state forward.

He said irrespective of party lines they are all stakeholders in the state project who would offer suggestion for the  benefit of  the citizens of the state.

“The meeting is in the right direction because we are all major stakeholders irrespective of our party lines and irrespective of the party is our desire for the state to move forward for our people to drive the maximum benefits of governance”

Also Senator Solomon Ewuga confirmed attending the meeting and that they were invited by the governor to make contributions on how to move the state forward.

Notable leaders at the meeting are Ewuga, Mike Abdul, Polycarp Azige, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, Retired General Ahmadu Aboki , members of the house of representatives and many others
