Nasarawa govt confirms arrest of late APC chair’s killer


Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa state, Tuesday, confirmed the arrest of the suspected killer of the late Nasarawa state chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Chief Philip Tatari Shekwo.

Sule made the announcement during an employability and entrepreneurship programme and job fair for Nasarawa state youth, held in Lafia.
He said the notorious bandit and kidnapper was arrested in Assakio village, Lafia local government area of the state.

“Just about 10 minutes ago, I was informed that Mr. Mohammed  Usman, also known as Bappa Lora, a notorious kidnapper in Nasarawa state has been arrested and has confessed that he was the killer of the state APC chairman,” he said.
Governor Sule commended the commissioner of police CP Bola Longe, and the entire police force in the state for their tireless effort in ensuring that the culprits are brought to book.
The late Nasarawa state chairman was kidnapped, and later found dead, metres away from his house at Bukan Sidi Lafia, the state capital.
