Nasarawa: I would ‘ve done better but didn’t inherit much funds – Sule


Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa state has revealed that if he had inherited much funds from the previous administration he would have perform much betterwithin his one year of administration.


He stated this at a media chat in Lafia to mark his one year anniversary in office.


Sule while responding to the question on how much he inherited from the previous administration said: “This is the question you would have asked the previous administration, that would have really been the ideal question for the last administration. But one thing I will tell you, if I had taken a lot of money, I would have done a lot of things.


” But the people who handed over to me I think some of them are still here as Commissioners so you can ask them.” Sule said.


He said the Covid-19 had adversely affected the economy of the state hence the need to review the budget to be in tune with the prevailing realities on ground.


The governor also pointed out that he had enjoyed cordial working relationship with the media calling on Journalists in the state to maintain the tempo by always ensuring balanced reportage.
