The  Migili Youth Association (MYA) in Nasarawa state has disowned its national body over a recent press release protesting the arrest of its traditional ruler,  Jonathan Iwala and other stakeholders associated in Duduguru crises in Obi local government  of the state.
It could be recalled that Duduguru was thrown into crises last week after the Appeal Court verdict in Makurdi declaring Amos Agya of the All Progressives Congress (APC) winner of the Obi II Constituency election against Luka Zhekaba of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who is the current occupant of the seat in the Nasarawa state House of Assembly.
The local chapter of the association, at the weekend, made it position known  in a press statement jointly signed and made available to newsmen by its chairman Makama Agwadu Gabriel and secretary Philip Gbutu Ayuba in Lafia.
It noted that the traditional ruler Jonathan Iwala and other stakeholders were arrested in order to assist the security agencies in unearthing the real causes of the crises.

“Their arrest was not politically motivated as propagated by few youths of Migili nation, to us Migili youth association local chapters politics is not about destruction but development and progress of society “
It maintained that the arrest was not with ill-motive as speculated in many quarters by some persons to heat up the polity in the state.

“If not for the quick intervention by the security operatives, this incidence could have lead to heavy loss of lives of innocent citizens and thanked the security for their quick intervention”.
The chapter, further called to an end the continuous exhibition of ignorance amongst youths of the association and allow the course of justice to prevail.
It also appealed to the entire good people of Migili nation to remain calm and allow the law to take its full course to bring the actors of the destruction to book.
