Nasarawa monarch hails Buhari over reappointment of NPHCDA Boss

A paramount traditional ruler in Nasarawa state, the Sangarin Shabu, Alhaji Mahmud Bwalla, Tuesday, commended President Muhammadu Buhari for the renewal of appointment of the Executive Secretary, National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) Dr. Faisal Shua’ibu.
Bwalla gave this commendation while speaking with newsmen in his Palace in Shabu, Lafia local government area.
He said the renewal of appointment of the executive secretary for another four years was the best step towards sustained efforts in transforming the primary health sector.
“The reappointment of Shua’ibu was well deserved given the landmark achievements recorded so far in health care service delivery especially at the grassroots which led to the certification of Nigeria as a polio free country by the World Health Organization (WHO),” he said.

He therefore called on the executive secretary to leverage on the renewal of his appointment to inject new programmes aimed at transforming the primary health care system in the country.
He said the traditional institutions in his domain would continue to support the agency for optimal service.

He also commended Governor Abdullahi Sule for paying more attention to the health sector since he assumed office.
