Nasarawa: Sule inaugurates c’ttee on new minimum wage, IGR

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa state Tuesday, inaugurated two executive committees on new minimum wage and internally generated revenue with a view to negotiate wages and to improve on the revenue generation in the state.

Inaugurating the committee in Lafia, Sule charged members to ensure that all revenues accrued to the state are properly remitted, and also explore new ways to generate more revenue for the development of the state.

According to him, ” The Committee, while carrying out its assignment, should be guided by the revenue accruals to the state vis-à-vis its ability to pay the Minimum Wage” .

Sule said he was committed to revitalise the socio economic fortune of the state, as well as improve the living conditions of the people.

He also charged public servants in the state to continue to exhibit high level of professionalism in the discharge of their official responsibility.

He explained that the committee were carefully selected to main the affairs of the government and assured people of the state that his government was ready to open its book of account to serve as a guide to the Committee towards making appropriate recommendations to government.
