Nasarawa: Sule pledges establishment of marble company in Ugya, Toto LGA 

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa state has promised to establish Marble Company in Ugya, Toto local government area of Nasarawa state.

He made the promise Monday at the palace of Ohimege Opanda of Umaisha,  Alhaji Usman Abdullahi, who was in his palace to receive his fatherly blessings ahead of his second term flagging off campaign in Toto LGA.

He said he would establish Marble company in Ugya, to create job opportunities and for the overall development of the area.

Sule said he has fulfilled all his campaign promises to the people of Toto LGA and solicited for their support come 2023, to enable him do more for them.

“I want to use this opportunity to call on the people of Toto local government, to continue to support the party that brought them peace, not only in Toto, but in Nasarawa state as a whole,” he said.

The Ohimege Opanda of Umaisha, Alhaji Usman Abdullahi, commended the governor for reviving rural electrification abandoned in Umaisha, Toto LGA since 1996.

He said the provision of electricity to the communities in the area would boost the socio-economic activities and improve on the standard of living of the people of the area and its environs.

“You have also dismantled Darul-Salam and other criminal elements in Toto and we are enjoying peace in Toto today.

“Whether you come or not, we are with you at all times because of your peace efforts and other developmental strides. We are ready to return you to the Government House come 2023,” he said.

The traditional ruler also presented Governor Sule with certificate as Sarki Yaki Opanda, meaning the ‘Warrior of Opanda Kingdom’ due to the governor’s peace efforts and other developmental strides in the area.

The speaker of the Nasarawa House of Assembly, Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, who also come from Toto LGA lauded the governor for his developmental strides in the area and the state at large.
